Welcome to the Marais district ! Located in the heart of Paris, the Marais is one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city, with a rich and fascinating history. Once a swampy area, it became the aristocracy’s territory in the 17th century. Today, it is a trendy, vibrant, and youthful district, home to several museums, art galleries, and charming boutiques. During this walk, you will discover beautiful 17th-century aristocratic mansions, hidden gardens, and picturesque alleys. Of course, I’ll also share with you my favorite spots.

👀 Place des Vosges and Victor Hugo’s house
Hidden behind elegant facades, le Marais offers tpeaceful courtyards and nice gardens. You’ll discover one of the most beautiful square of Paris, a stunning example of 17th century architecture. We’ll also take a look at the house where Victor Hugo, the famous author of Les Misérables, lived.
